Your Jersey Shore campground

Beaches, boardwalks, wildlife and small-town charm, all within an easy drive of camp.

Beaches

Sand and surf, minutes away

Avalon Campground sits in the middle of Cape May County, so you can choose a different beach town every day of your stay. Most guarded beaches charge a daily, weekly or seasonal beach tag, and the Wildwoods’ beaches are free.

~10 min drive

Avalon

Wide beaches, a lively dune-lined shoreline and a charming village of shops and cafes on Seven Mile Island. Beach tags are required; children under 12 are free, and Avalon and Stone Harbor honor each other’s tags.

~15 min drive

Stone Harbor

A relaxed, family-friendly island town with a walkable downtown, the Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary and the restored Harbor Square Theatre.

~20 min drive

The Wildwoods

Famous for wide, free beaches, the Wildwood Boardwalk, amusement piers and water parks. A classic Jersey Shore day with ice cream and rides.

~10 min drive

Sea Isle City

A laid-back beach town with a promenade, fishing, great seafood and Ludlam Bay sunsets.

~25 min drive

Cape May

America’s oldest seaside resort: Victorian architecture, the Cape May Lighthouse, Washington Street Mall, whale and dolphin cruises and Cape May Point State Park.

~30 min drive

Ocean City

A dry, family-oriented town with a classic boardwalk, mini golf and wide sandy beaches.

Drive times are approximate and vary with seasonal traffic. Beach tag rules, prices and lifeguard hours are set by each town and change by season, so confirm with the borough before you go.
